We do our best to include all reported sightings of sharks that include identifying information. In general, this requires pictures or videos. However, if you see sharks that were identified in previous years, we will include them in this year's sightings as well. We will do our best to credit the submitter, and the first person to submit a sighting for a shark is given the opportunity to name it!
There are fewer sharks listed here than are submitted due to lack of videos, pictures, and identifying information. That's OK! Every sighting is important data, even if it doesn't get listed here.

Markings: The smallest shark we've seen this year. This shark has a large notch out of the trailing edge of its RPF along with a few small ones. It has white "scars" on its RPF and top of the body just behind the Pectoral Fins.

Markings: Super clean shark. There is a small nick out of the trailing edge of the RPF. I've also included two dark spots on the Dorsal Fin, and one on the anal fin. Unknown if those will be usable for identification, but those marks were not present on Dapper Dan and other clean sharks.

Markings: Ilsa was originally spotted in 2022, and we have seen her most/all years since then. Her primary markings are two notches out of her RPF 2 larger notches out of the trailing edge of her Caudal Fin, and a small notch out of the LPF. This year she was about 8' long (larger than years past), and she has newer white markings on her body.

Markings: This shark has some horizontal scratches in front of its left gills. It has some distinctive notches out of the trailing edge of its LPF. The trailing edge of its RPF has a number of tiny notches. It also has a horizontal scar just behind its RPF that is difficult to see in most lighting situations. It also has two notches out of the lower caudal fin. There appears to be a longer notch or white spot on its upper caudal fin.

Markings: Double U shape nick on trailing edge of LPvF. Also, a sharper nick off the LPF. On the right side, there are two nicks on the trailing exge of the right pectoral. There are two black dots - one on the LPF and one at the top of the caudal fin (left side). At this time, we're unsure if these black dots will persist. We've spotted this shark in previous years, including 2025 and 2024 (thus the name SG-R-24-02)
